The Inspiration

Layo Duafe pronounced {Lie-yo Dowa-fae} is of Yoruba (Nigerian) origin it is short for the founders name Titilayo. It translates to eternal joy; which we desire everyday.

Duafe is of Ashante (Ghanaian) origin. It is an adinkra symbol (the wooden comb). It evokes the quality of beauty, love, and femininity; which is the energy that drives her creativity and dedication to building an empire.

Layo Duafe is inspired by Titilayo's gorgeous hard working mother. She has taught her everything she need to know about her culture, African fashion, entrepreneurship, as well as loving herself no matter what the world throws at her.
